People should stop using the UCL as a saving grace for Benitez, its pretty well documented that it was Stevie G who won the UCL..And the Kops fans are even demanding, they just want to see the league title, they're not even bothered bout the boring defensive style that Benitez plays..I would think among the top 4 side, even during Jose's Chelsea team, Liverpool is easily one of the most boring big teams around.

i bother about the style liverpool plays

that's why i called for RB's resignation letter since last 2 seasons.

when almost every liverpool fan said IN RAFA WE TRUST, i began the IN RAFA I NO LONGER TRUST campaign, but sadly, the response had been bad, till recently

and when i slammed the team, chris and poolman said i'm not a TRUE liverpool fan because i dont always say positive stuffs about the team and i'm not a true supporter because i criticized the team -.-

limpper SG

aiyo..he's still under contract for a long time leh...if the owners terminate him, they nid to give him lots of $$...

that's such thing called mutual termination

kopiosatu SG

i always say negative things about liverpool

limpper SG

i always say negative things about liverpool

hi5

me too, because that's nothing much of positive i can say about liverpool currently

kopiosatu SG

i still think its manager problem

average players can win european cup leh, look at nottingham forest

and they won it twice in a row!

but that was purely down to their manager who could motivate the sh*t out of anyone

kopiosatu SG

maybe its time for liverpool to get a motivational manager

maybe... kevin keegan.

charlize SG

maybe its time for liverpool to get a motivational manager

Somehow the record for getting former players back as managers is not too good.

limpper SG

not about motivation to me

it's about the kind players he buys and he thinks this players are "world class"

most ppl consider dirt kuyt as a good player, but for me, he's far from even being anywhere near the "good" status

lucas? dossena? Kyrgiakos? riera? itandje? Voronin? insua? degen? ngog?

limpper SG

good buys to me

xabi alonso, fernando torres, mascherano, agger, yossi benayoun.

but obviously, his bad buys are doing the harm not the good buys doing the good currently

kopiosatu SG

Somehow the record for getting former players back as managers is not too good.

then we need brian clough back from the dead

limpper SG

not to mention also, his past shit buys

like, Florent Sinama Pongolle

and also, a few more

so that means he is not bringing out the best in them

like i said, average players won european cup 2 times in a row purely through motivation.

if he believes that they are world class, he certainly isn't making them play like they are.

pongolle and le tallac were houllier's

limpper SG

pongolle and le tallac were houllier's

opps,

zenden another one then

kopiosatu SG

the problem is that benitez want to micro manage everything

its like he wants to play fifa 10 or winning eleven, when he presses forward and X, the player must go forward.

i've read interviews where managers go crazy when players don't do what they are told to do (insane instructions)

one striker was threatened to be dropped by his manager when he passed the ball square to another striker when the manager told him that he must only knock the ball forward ONLY throughout the whole game.

which makes me think that the players are not lousy overnight

its the managers who restrict them and control them totally.

limpper SG

believing they are world class is one thing, whether they can play like world class is another.

from what i see over the years, the max those players can go is what they are doing now. and what they are doing now, is not anywhere near the world class status.

i dont even think that last season they are really that fantastic

liverpool players sorely lack motivation from their manager

they don't even look happy playing football.

i'm sure with a proper manager, something good can come out from a bunch of "average" players.

The press and the fans are forgetful people.

Imagine Ah Ben winning against Lyon at midweek.

Then he is a genius.

Even how bad Liverpool played, I will support them.

But, it pains me to see them struggle against Hull and Sunderland.

Ah Ben have been give 5 seasons to learn about BPL.

It is time to show what he is make of.

Liverpool lacks creative and game winner like ronaldo.

Ah Ben prefer puppy boys like Kuyt and Lucas.

I guess the fans can tolerate defeat if they see players playing their heart out.

Now even the players bay song Ah Ben liao.

charlize SG

Rafa is a contrarian.

He just likes to do things normal managers won't do.

Like play off form players. Not playing players who are in form. Rotating players who are in form. Playing players out of their normal positions. Playing unusual formations when a normal formation will do.

that's one solution to solve also

but i would prefer to get rid of rafael and a few fringe players.

i think the whole team need some real good restructuring

since kuyt can raise some good money for now, i would say go ahead
